Fixing Metal Halide Bulbs?

Is it possible to fix a metal halide bulb once the metal clips fall off? The bulb keeps flickering if I try to push into place, it seems to just keep getting loose. The bulb is only about 3 months old, and i'd hate to buy another one so soon.

where did you buy it from? Try contacting the company they might send you a new one if you send them the bad bulb back
