Florida Ricordia

There is tons of great looking ricordia on ebay right now and it is kind of ticking me off. There is dark midnight blue, bright red and orange, pink and so on. I cannot find anything other than green from any of my wholesalers. Does anyone have a good source for Florida ricordia other than green?

Odds are much of that ricordia is being illegally collected. Dick Perin at Tropiquara in Romulus,MI is raising a little. My advice would be to buy some and try to culture it.

I get nice Oranges & Reds from Indonesia on occasion.

I am looking for the Florida ones. The indo. polyps do not look as nice as the Florida.

Well, would you rather have Indonesian orange, or nothing at all? I've sold several small colonies of Mary's ricordia, and my customers were appreciative to even get anything other than green (as well as being appreciative of how large the colonies actually are). They also know what color morphs are out there, but they have been educated as to how rare those really are. Just trying to make a point that we should be thankful there are wholesalers out there that offer ricordia other than green.

How rare is the purple tip w/ dark lime one? Mine kept walking around the rock and leaving copies of itself each time it move.
