hi
i added a green flowerpot to my tank a few days ago, and it still has not decided to open up, i checked all the water/tank parameters and they seem fine. this is my first experience with flowerpots and was just wondering if this might be normal

thanks everyone

Can you define "flowerpot" a little more??

Alveopora or Goniopora?

The two have different light/flow requirements..

Tons of info online about how to try and keep these very demanding corals. Here's a good article to start with:

I won't give the speech about doing research before you buy a coral you aren't familiar with in terms of care which saves both money and corals.

(thinks) No, wait...I think I just did

usually i would research before i buy, but i did not buy this. it was given to me, and unexpectedly at that.....i knew they were sort of difficult, and was actually trying to avoid them lol.
anyways thanks guys

Well, people do keep them with greater sucess than ever but it does take special care to do so. Hope it turns out for ya, those corals are stunning when they are open and happy.
