So after Sandy this tank pretty much died.. The little that did survive is now in an RSM130D.I still need to pick up some more LR finish the aquascape (don't really like how the left side looks). Need some advice though. First I was thinking about making pillars around the overflow pipes (hate the way they look). What should I use to glue the rocks together? Now for the sump, I was planning on connecting the the two 1" overflows to a 2"x1"x1" true wye then to a filtersock or should I just keep them separate? As for the skimmer it says it should be in 10" of water but i want to keep the sump at 15" of water. Can i just make a 5" platform for the skimmer to sit on. Now baffles. I was thinking 1' for the skimmer, 2' for the sand and macroalgae and 1' for the return, probes, heater, ato etc. also what pump should I use. I had a mag 7 but that wasn't enough. Should I add another mag 7 or just get a new pump and if so which one? Now behind the tank I have a 51"x14" space where i plan to build a platform to hold a 40 breeder with 1/2" bulkhead for a pump and a 3/4 bulkhead that will overflow right into the DT. This tank will be a fuge with mud, mangroves pods and all that good stuff. Under that i'll have a tank/container for ATO and my chiller. Then i plan to have someone build me canopy to cover it all.. I want all opinions. Good, bad whatever I don't care if you insult my ideas, I wanna hear it all.. thanks.
