I was just curious if Australia permitted the importation of liverock, corals, or fish from outside the country. I know Hawaii has a lot of restrictions for fear of a non-native release into the wild and I wanted to know if Australia had the same sort of regulations because of the GBR.

I don't think you can import any live rock nor corals into Australia (similiar to Hawaiian restrictions, and for the same very reasons). I've heard of fish being imported before, but never live rock or corals.

That's correct.

Currently, marine aquarium fish can be imported and are subject to a 1 week quarantine period.
No inverts (corals, anemones, shrimp) can be imported.
