I hope you don't mean that you're adding 'store' water to your tank! Their systems may have copper and other chemicals in it.Is it because I have been adding fish and coral and letting the water go in to my DT?
I mentioned the cleaning of the pump only because I had a prefilter sponge on my return pump that would get clogged every couple of months and reduce flow back to the dt so the water level in the dt would lower, and it seemed that the level in the sump would raise correspondingly. After rinsing out the sponge the levels went back to normal. If you don't have a prefilter sponge I can't say how often (if at all) you would have to do any cleaning.Rookie mistake about adding store H20. I guess its the combination of both adding more water and return need cleaning. Should the pump be cleaned at every H20 change?
Thanks guys!
if you wait for it to evaporate...you're raising the salinity!...check your salinity first, because many LFS only run about 1016, if your salinity is fine, and you feel the water level is too high, throw out some water.so should I let the water be and let it evaporate?
