my girlfriend:
"do you realize how hot the air is coming out the back of the chiller?"

me: well that's what the a/c is for ;)

she's not happy.

i have the same problem.I just recently upgraded my 20L for a 29 gallon and my girl is having a heart attack. She keeps saying " what if it falls over" like it's gonna tip over or something. I have to say "Chill Woman!" LOL

that's not a bad idea BC,
it would be bulky but I could make a shroud
with tubing sticking up in the flu,
would the hot air rise up?
I wonder if i would need an exhust fan?

I don't think it has to be bulky. Make it out of 1/4" hardwood ply with an internal frame. Then put a seat top on it, so you have somewhere to sit while you watch the tank.

haha BC that looks like a toilet from 1776

I know hot air rises, duh, I had my share of science classes :D
I guess I meant will I be able to vent ALL the hot air

I might just stick the chiller in the fireplace. otherwise I'll have four feet of venting to trip over, and won't that look pretty.
I think house had this idea a while ago.

or I just let the a/c do it's job. as long as your not standing next to the chiller you would never know
