Gallon and Drain Pipe Size

Anyone knows of a link to answer the question?

For example, what size of drain pipe would you use for a 90G?

1" =600 gph
1.5" = ~1300gph.

so it depends on what pump you're putting on the tank. I'd personally go with two 1" drains. Don't put Dursos on them if you're going to put them in the same overflow box. the level will change back and forth and you'll have that sucking sound.

the double drain in overflow is nice because it give's you a back up drain or allowing for a much higher gph, i just drilled holes in the pipes, a bunch of them and put a cap on top of it drilled a hole with a syphon tube, no noise from drain
