Anybody have any experience with this?

Not that it is terribly important -as my nitrates are usually around 10-15 ppm or less - but there is little bit of algae and such that I would like to nuke out. In addition, I just started feeding the filter feeders regularly, so I'm a little worried about a pissble rise in nitrate.

Granted, my skimmer is for a 250 gallon system (on a 46 g bow/ 20 g sump, and 5 g overhead refugium) and the product is very nice and thick...if I mess with it past the recommeded level, all I get is bubbles pumping back into the tank....

The berlins are hard to work with...
I would never run one on 250 gallons. I have one on a 90, and am not very fond of it, but I am cheep - so we are at a rock and a hard place.

That being said, I also am a VERY light feeder.

Good luck! And just because I like to point out funny typos:

I'm a little worried about a pissble rise in nitrate

Any pissing in the tank will ASSURIDLY raise nitrate levels!

If you restrict the airflow a bit it will raise the bubbles higher into the neck.

I also agree that they are difficult to adjust and are no where as good as they are rated for.

I would say that they are good for a 65 IMO and no bigger.

I agree I have two of them and I wish I had never bought them. They worked fine when I got them now it seems that I am always adjusting them to get them to work properly. I am researching some new skimmers but can make up my mind. Any suggestions. I am running 3 125 gallon tanks one of wich has no skimmer on it.
