I have some dust particles even after rinsing for 15-30mins. If you have it in a sump, place the output in a filter sock for the first few minutes to reduce the chance it getting released in the DT.

From what I've seen of GFO, the makeup of GFO are all practically the same. The difference is size/capacity/amount of pores. I've had brs (not HC) and rowaphos and both had a dust even after rinse.
Discharge it into a 4" sock. That's what I do and this way at the same time you are filtering the water even more. Change the sock when it discoloration completely
