I have had it with a Mantis Shrimp and I'm not going to stop until I get it. I have a 75-gallon tank with 150# LR and 75# LS. Livestock includes one Royal Gramma (still surviving), one skunk cleaner shrimp, 2 serpent stars, one Fl. Pink tipped anemone, and numerous snails and hermits.

I plan on removing all LR and placing into another container of sea water with a powerhead. I hope to leave all other livestock in the original tank. I will thoroughly inspect the LR until I find and remove the culprit.

Any ideas or suggestions from you experienced reef masters?

why not just build a trap and save yourself a lot of work?

take a plastic soda bottle and cut the top 1/3 off and invert it into the other 2/3 of the bottle. secure it with something reef safe like zip ties. bait it with a piece of shrimp and wait. sure, you'll catch some other stuff but you just release them back. eventually you'll get the mantis and dance the happy dance.
