Good Sand Sifter for a 10 gal?

I've noticed that my sandbed has been getting gunky over the past few weeks. I have 4 turbo snails who take care of the glass, and 10 tinky hermit crabs that take care of the coral and live rock, but nobody cleans the sand!

Any suggestions for an invert or fish that will clean up the sand, but not starve in a small environment?

in a 10 gallon??? they would quickly starve themselves out.

For a long term inhabitant, I would say your best bet is a nassarius snail. Pretty much anything else gets too big and would quickly starve.

I went with a couple of nassarius and a couple of fighting conches. Sand is cleaner already and its only been 2 days!

you could try cerith snails too. the larger nassarius snails and fighting conchs might starve to death. the small nassarius snails would be ok though.

I made sure to get the smallest ones I could see in the LFS' tank
