Your basic CUC can do with hermits and even some emerald crabs.By the way,how long has the tank been running?Check your parms?Nitrates/PO4?Manual scrubbing can work but your parameters are essential to pinpoint your problem.

I would defff buy a phosband reactor and run it. Also check the phosphate levels and also excess nutrients in the system feeding habbits. How long do you keep you light on for. The sea hair will eat it but also if it is getting out of control then you should test

Sea hare is a temporary solution IMO as they don't live for very long at all and if you don't find it when it's dead, you're in trouble. The best way to control the algae is to control your nutrient level, phosphate is the usual cause. Try to limit nutrient coming in and take more nutrient out.

phosband will do so much you have to have excess nutrient, check you lighting bulbd bad algie grows when your bulbs are on the way out and that is a good sign to change them out. Also I would do a phosphate test as well, do ou have and are using a rodi unit chek to see if the filters need to be changed

My problem with these GFO's are that some brands will eventually leech out PO4's back into the tank.Good to change it every so often.I'm going with cheatomorpha in my tank with reverse cycle lighting to see what results I get.Not going with any media and my skimmer.

Rowaphos FTW!!!

I have tried most of the main stream GFO's ... but since using Rowaphos and seeing the results I wouldn't switch back, BUT that's just me.
