Hey peoples. I'm trying to grow and raise my own pods. Would a small 1g tank w an air stone be OK? What's the best pods to raise for a mandarin? That's my main reason is so he can eat. He's getting skinny. Hard to do a fuge in a 14g so I want a small tank on the side for it. All advice appreciated

I am interested in this also. Can they just be raised in the fuge or will that not be enough. Was just doing some research and came across a good thread with an idea for a feeding station.

@Paul. Dude that is hilarious!!!! I actually remember this thread because in remember the pics. Anyway. Thanks for that info. Its even better that I can feed baby brine. Much easier to raise. He came from my 110 so that was stocked w pods. And of course I wouldn't sell him coz that's my wife's favorite fish. So I'll look into the brine hatchery

Im also curious to know if u raise them in the refugium ... Would they make it thru the foam pad before the return pump???
I been getting the tigger pods (3 bottles) n i dont see any on my display.
So maybe an additional tank is a good way to go

Whenever I clean the foam pads on my return pumps or rinse out filter socks, I always find a ton of pods. I also wondered if the pods made it into the tank. But when I moved some rock recently in my DT, I saw loads of pods!

I wanted to try the designated macro tank with pods to see how it worked out. I can't remember where I saw it on the forum (certainly wasn't my idea!). But it looked really neat so I'm copying from someone else.
