It's not reef safe because of what it becomes, which is a very large fish, which looks nothing like the Juv does.

Yes, max size gets around 7" and coloration changes as it matures. Do they eat coral though?

Not sure, but I'm sure that they'll eat inverts and smaller fish. It's going to take some time before it grows into anything close to the adult, so I wouldn't worry too much at this point.
