Has anyone fragged a toadstool leather coral while it is in the tank? I have one on a rock that would be a real hassle to remove. Will cutting it in the tank release to many toxins?
Take a scissor or razor blade a cut a piece off. It will release some stuff in the tank so it's best to maybe do a water change or run some carbon, but it's not that bad.
The best thing to do, if you can't remove the leather from the tank, is to drop the water level down to the point where the coral is out of the water, and then cut it.
