Has anyone here done or seen tests on water pumps?

The question is:
Anyone here done tests on various brand and models of water pumps to test their durability? Things like frequent off-on test, sand blasting torture test, high-water/Low-water torture test...etc. If someone is willing to do these types of test, I would like to participate either with parts donation or something else...I am sure everyone can find a way to work together on this.

I might be up for it, do you have something in mind? What do you mean by sand blasting? Sitting in sand and running? I've got a couple of extra tanks that are sitting dry and I could set up a couple of different scenarios.
