I love my cherub angel! I find them beautiful and I happened to have purchased him at the same time as my bicolor blenny and they lived in the same tank at the LFS for about 3 weeks so they seemed to become buddies. It's really interesting to watch their "endeavors" and "parading" around the tank together. :D

But I'm on the virge of purchasing some frags for the same tank and I'm wondering if he will do well with some softies. Going for some xenias, zoas, and mushrooms first and wanted to know what some of you have to say about this dwarf angel munching on your corals. :?:

I'd hate to take him out but would do it if necessary, seeing as the reef is the priority... :?

Thanks!

I have twice. Both times they left soft corals and zoanthids, mushrooms alone. Both pecked at clam mantles and open brains (Trachyphyllia, Welsophyllia, and Platygyra) but not to the point of doing any damage at all. I also had a lot of Euphyllia species growing without them touching it.

My guess is that you'll be completely fine with those corals. :D YMMV.

My C.argi was a perfect reef citizen. Kept with sps, clams, brains, softys, maybe gave a kiss here and there but never damaged any of them. I have had bad luck with other Centropyge species, but I think you will probably be just fine.
