HDI Ballasts and Ushio 10k

My Metal Halide ballast says "Dual volt HID ballast for 1 250w M58 metal halide lamp." What does this mean? It seems that when I run the Ushio 10K 250watt bulb it looks yellow to me. Is there some problem or have I been looking at my 12K's too long?

That means it's an ballast for running an "oridinary" 250w bulb. That's what you're doing. I guess it's your eyes.
