hey all, recently our acan lords and only our acan lords have been looking like crap. everything else in the tank is great whether theyre sps, lps, or softies. the return pump had an issue where it wasnt really doing its job for a few days and the tank wasnt being properly filtered. this is when it started, since then ive done a wc and checked the parameters. aside from a drop in nitrate everything is about where it was before the issue started. the calc and alk are high but have been for a while and nothing really seemed to be bothered. i just dipped them in TLF coral revive and am hoping for the best. i dont see any white rings per se but the polyps themselves are not extending at all. the strange part of all of this is that the echinata that we have next to the lords is thriving while they are dying. any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

@jcs - hopefully thats what this is because i dont necessarily see the flesh receding..its just very contracted at this point.

@tentacles - we do have a large peppermint who has a price on his head...if i can catch him hes up for free for anyone who wants him...but thats a topic for another section of the forum and another day lol

Might you have a pic that shows your concern?

In your first post you said your Lords are next to your Enchinatas - that is a bad idea, they WILL attack each other :( You want some distance between the 2!

Unfortunately the lights just went off. Ill take a pic asap tommorrow. The echinata is about 4" from the closest lord, if it was limited to just that one piece i would think that would be it. Unfortunatley the problem seems to be throughout all of them.
