Help, bulkhead fittings and stainless steel hose clamp ?'s

Ok so I have 1" bulkeads, what size female pvc fitting fits on the male end of my bulkhead. 1 and 1/4 inch seems like it would fit but doesn't thread, yet 1 and 1/2 is too big. Is there a special fitting that I don't know about?

And is it a bad idea to have stainless steel hose clamps in my tank? I was going to use them to connect return hose line to return pump and inside my overflow....

Anything metal will corrode in salt water. Use plastic clips. Saltwater critters sells them message Russ or Jim. Masterswimmer or Houseoflaughter

if its a barb fitting a 1 1/4" id flex hose will fit.

You don't thread the pvc fitting to the outside of the bulkhead. Those threads are for tightening the bulkhead nut against the glass. If there are no threads inside then you have a slip fitting.
