Can try the Bayer insecticide; google what people have used based on the coral 5-10ml per 500mls of water for a few mins.

Also, iodine will kill some pests and also supposed to accelerate healing.

As always with diy it?s a bit of a trial and error...not that commercial products are always better.

Coral Dipping

My friend is telling me he?s been dipping his new acquisition in a peroxide solution. Has anyone ever heard of this? I think this is crazy!!

I purchased Coral Revive, dipped my new acquisitions to kill off the pests that were on them. If anyone knows of a better alternative to the commercial products please advise, I?m looking for an alternative.

There is a guy on youtube, channel name is billy pipes. If I remember correctly he shows how to dip acans in peroxide. Great for removing any algae that may come in plugs. He mentions that he isn't sure if that method works for all corals as he has not tried it.
