Help! Phospate Sponge Pellets In Makeup Water!!!

Ok....I am running 25gal of makeup water thru a small bag of Kent's Phosphate Sponge. It is in a 32gal garbage can. I have 2 powerheads in there and one of them sucked up the bag of phosphate sponge and proceeded to scatter the pellets all over!!! The water is like pure white!!!!!! I unplugged the powerheads hoping it will settle. If I run the water thru some floss to catch the pebbles, will it be ok to use?

I am not sure, but I would dump the water. The fact that it went through the powerhead probably means that it also got fragmented, and there are particles in the water you won't filter out. I imagine that these can be irritating if not deadly to your fish as they breathe them in through their gills, and also I imagine that they can be deadly if ingested (otherwise why the warning on the packaging to induce vomiting if swallowed?).
