right now they max out at 80% from 1pm to 6pm they have been running like that for about three weeks now but i just got him about a week ago

go slow with them mine come on at 11am with a 150 min ramp up to 40% white 80%blue and 100% royal blue than at 730pm they ramp down 150min to 4%blue and 10%royal blue than at midnight 4%blue and 4% royal blue on lunar cycle with these settings im getting sick growth and color just raise them slowly

i didn't know you could ramp them that long i have been using 5 different settings instead mine start at 6am then 10am then 1pm then 6pm and finally 9pm i get pretty close to the actual sun rise set schedule but i like your idea as well might have to try that see how it works

i love niger triggers i always thought they were so cool. so how is he doing in your tank as of today?

As far as a Niger in a reef I have not had any problems with mine, and corals. Only problem I have with my bully is when introducing new fish regardless of size. He always starts the chase, and then all the other fish join in. Currently he is in time out in my 20 gallon with my clowns, and nems.
Catching my Niger is always easy cause he is greedy. All I have to do is put a little food in the net, and he jumps right in.lol
