hermit shells

I have alot of shells that i have collected over the years (at the beach) and was wondering how to clean/ sterilize them. I have heard of baking them and bleaching them. What do you recommend for the grow out shells?

I didn't think cleaning would be neccessary, you are talking about housing clean up crew.

Oil would suck though, but then you would have seen the state of the beach. If there was no oil on the beach then anything else would probably be ok.

If you wanna be safe , you might want to boil them a little, let em cool then throw em in! Never bleach or use chemicals on them as you never no if they will somehow leech them back into your tank!
