Just thought id say hi from the UK ... Found this forum from a UK one
So joined up .. Couldnt find anywhere to say hi .. so hope its ok here.

Im mainly into SPS corals and my current tank is 16 months old ... i know everybody likes pics so here's a couple of mine from my 200g tank.

Thanks for the Welcome .. Yes thats a elegance coral it has blue tips although my camera skills arent up to much.

The tank has 2 x 400w 10k reeflux lamps, I use a schuran jetskim 150 skimmer
Ozone is used every 2 days.
The calcium reactor is run 24/7 its a cheap and cheerful TMC model, It works well for the price and thats good.
I have mainly tunzes for flow but could really do with more flow ...
I dont add anything to the tank apart from Iodine, and weekly 10% water change with Tropic Marine Pro Reef.

Thanks for the welcome .. Yes thats a cat a nice blue tipped one from Aus.

The tank is quite basic compared to some , I have 2 x 400w 10k lights, with ozone used every 2 days, I run a calc reactor 24/7 to keep up with the demand .. the skimmer is a jetskim 150.
Ive started to dose vodka recently which has had positive results which can only been explained if the tank is viewed in person, Its only small details that i can see as it were, a small basic 30 g sump.
I dont feed the tank or dose anything extra apart from Iodine which seems to keep everything in check.
Apart from that there isnt much to say about the tank .. its a very low maintenance tank, But the flow could do with upping at some point as it has quite a few dead spots that need rectifying soon.

Welcome to MR! Where in England are you from? I'm headed over to Barcelona, London, Belfast, Edinburgh, Peebles, and Glasgow in 5 weeks!

Have you been to the aquarium in Barcelona before? I heard it's great---will definitely be checking that out.

Anyways, nice tank!

Hi mate im from the south west .. which is the equivalent of the deep south of georgia ha ha .. I live very close to the City of Plymouth which is where the Pilgrim fathers set sale for America a few years ago..
