HOT TIPS Column: July 2005 Issue of Advanced Aquarist

July's theme is "Favorite Websites." Please submit your favorite reef/marine-related webistes for others to take a look at. Your submissions will help new and existing reefkeepers and maybe you too will find a new website you haven't heard about before (plus it's just cool to get published in a magazine like Advanced Aquarist). :P

When published, your hot tip will have your username published (along with your real name if you so desire). Every month we will be running a new HOT TIP thread so stay tuned and help out when you can. :)

The staff at both Reefs.org and Advanced Aquarist would like to thank you for your continued interest and support of our online community, magazine, and services.

Let the submissions begin! :D

Best regards,

Reefs.org and Advanced Aquarist staff

I'll read anything DIY. If this guy is already known here I appologize. I'm a big fan of Melev. Not only does he sell his stuff but he teaches you how to build it too.

Some nice DIY on this guys site too.

I'd like to see more DIY/ plumbing/ setups on Advanced Aquarist myself. The site is really.... well... advanced but all they show is the pictures of the end product. I'd like to see the behind the scenes stuff in the featured aquarium sections. :D

Edit: Wow, I guess I was late on this.

seahorse.org, good info source for food sources for the finicky eaters. i figure if the girls there figured out how to feed their ponies my frickin' clownfish should be able to be fed.

foreign sites are also good info sources. different cultural views of the same subject. watchout for that tricky metric system.

manufacturer sites are also informative (albeit skewed to certain products). tank manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, and chemical/salt manufacturers.
