I am just amazed at how corals live and how nature is just darn cool. I have a small piece of xenia that I attached to a rock with a rubberband so that it could attach to the rock. It only took it about a 6 hours to attach, but I left the rubber band on until morning to make sure it was good and attached. The next morning it had passed the rubber band completely through its body without splitting. The rubber band was whole on the rock but not securing the xenia anymore. It had completely passed it through its body with out dividing itself. How freakin cool is that? Nature rules, and I am not a tree hugger by anymeans, but that was just damn cool.

I saw leathers doing the same thing with toothpicks (although not over night). Some of those corals are really amazing.

I like watching an animal without a brain actually eat something. I also like watching them grow.

And everything besides the point, xenia is just damn cool.
