How do I get rid of green hair algae

so I got some green hair in my tank, starting to spread fast.


What are some options that I have in ridding this menace?

would a blenny work?

RUN PHOSBAND watch how much you feed and also lighting cycles and a good sign is also extra nutrition in the water. hence over feeding.

Add a Sea Hare it will munch it quick and then pull him out. In the mean time get rid of your phosphates asap...................

I just changed my phosban about 2 weeks ago. I have a 75 gallon tank and I use the entire 150 gram jar.
My tank is up about 2 and half years. the problem was my bought a yellow headed goby last month and he spit sand all over the tank and rocks. I think this is how this whole thing started.
It is not growing fast, it is just annoying.

checked phosphates-zero - I know this is not accurate it only checks inorganic phosphates.

its still tumbling, the 150 gallon jar is enough for a 150 gallon tank.

Get some medium diameter tubing with one end in a filter sock in your sump. Start a syphon and pinch the hair algae off your rocks. It will get sucked through the tubing and end up in the sock. Remove the sock and check for anything you want to through back in the tank.
Otherwise the gha will decompose in your tank which could cause problems.
