how do you dose

do you dose your WC to correct levels before adding to the tank? or do you add to tank and then correct levels from there??

I just got a BM doser. I dosed my 75gal tank to 430 cal and 10 dkh to start..Then i started dosing 50ml of 2 part per day.. i'll check on friday to see if my levels went up or down. If its high i'll lower my daily dosing.. If its low ill increase...i hope that works fine

i dont know cuz am trying to,start now never did just added as needed but i would say to add then fix so all your water is fixed at the same time. i checked my calcium level today after adding 100ml yesterday and calcium went up to 450 up ten percent i just dosed another 100 ml and am gonna check lEVEls again TOM along with alk

I don't do anything to my make up water. I figure at this point my tank is at a good equilibrium with the water change and dosing routine. I'll try and do a before and after check to see what happens to my levels but when i was testing in the beginning there wasnt much difference. Would be good to see again if thats still the case.

i just dosed 450 grams of epsom salt to bring my mag level from 1240 to 1300 i wanna c if that increases the usage rate of everything else gonna check my water later to c if mag levels went up correctely and whats the increase in calcium level since yesterday since i dosed another 100 ml last night the previous night when i dosed that it brought it up from 440 to 450 i wanna c if it goes up again 10# if so i dont understand y its not staying constant with me doing the recommended minimum dose for reef tank am still leaving alk alone until it goes down alittle more

i think that maybe bringing the mag up to 1300 which is like in the middle of the recommended number might increase the rate of how alk and cal is used up i dont know but know that prop mag increase stoney coral bone formation. what do ya pros think
