How long to seed dry rock?

How long will it take to seed about 80 lbs of dry rock?

In a tub of RO water or tank?About a few weeks or less pending how the ammonia readings are.You want zero ammonia.If that's what you're asking.

Put a couple pieces of established rock in with the dry rock and it will be seeded in no time.

If you were to seed and cure dry rock in a tub of ro/di salt water until cycling levels were normal would the addition of the dry rock to an established tank have any adverse affects?
