is this normal ?to use this much

Are your other levels, Cla & Mag, inline? It's very possible if you have a lot of sps and Clams, Clams do use a lot of Alk. Also if you have a lot of coraline algae that could be using a lot too.
Each tank is different. As the corals grow they start using more elements...
I know personally I was dosing too much after I lost a lot of SPS over the summer (less demand) and the test kits I had were not giving accurate results. When I changed test kits I found that my alk and Ca were a little high and I dropped the dosing down a few pegs. The only advice I could give is test your water with more than one test kit regularly (I would recommend Salifert and Elos) and adjust your additives accordingly.
I have a 90gal tank with a 30gal sump with one large clam and a lot of coral, though not a lot of sps. I dose 40 ml of Alk a day a can barely keep my Alk at 6-7. So it's quite possible, given the size of the tank and the amount of SPS that you have, to dose that much. Most people keeping SPS use a Cal reactor, especially with that size tank. In the end it's cheaper than dosing each day.
