So I noticed that my skimmers bubble production was lacking somewhat . Upon further investigation i found that i had a small reef building in the lower body, and lower downdraft section. It would appear that a piece of newly formed live rock (calcification) was blocking one of the outflow holes in the bottom of the downdraft tube. I bought the skimmer secondhand and never really gave a though to cleaning the lower section because the top is where all the filth is. Any way my poor maintenance habits has left me with a 1/4 lb new live rock.:splitspin Anyone else get a lot of calcium build up?
