How much LR can a 55g hold?

Im trying to figure out how many pounds of LR a 48" long 55g tank can saefely hold. Currently I think there is about 70-80lbs in there now.

as much as u can pack in there, remember rock displaces water. So the more rock u have , the less water there isin the tank.

Would the rock weigh more then the water it displaces?

water, i've heard argued, and i think depending on sg, is about 7.5 lbs/gal give or take a half lb, the rocks displacement will depend on how pourous it is, i would imagine

lets put it this way, if you fill the tank with liverock...you'll be displacing water, corals and fish.... Don't fill the tank with live rock, just put in what you need. I don't think 55gal of live rock is what your planning unless your making a sump.

The tank should be able to hold if it was filled totally with live rock if thats what you're asking. LFS do it all the time with their live rock tanks.
