I have a Tunze 9020 on my tanks and I am wondering if it is really working. It seems I am constantly having to adjust the air screw and it doesn't seem to be skimming consistently. One possible solution I came up with was to only run one side as I think it is grossly over-rated for my system (105g) which improved it somewhat. It does bubble but doesn't foam that often. I have pulled it out and cleaned/checked it. The reason I think it isn't working well is that I am having some issues with algae still (will test parameters and report back). I am thinking that I should switch it for a reef octopus 160 but this will require me to empty the sump to pull it out. Any thoughts or advice?
