If a company can meet the MAC standards of having their own holding facility, I see no reason why the MAC fish shouldn't be sold by internet companies. However, I do not feel that drop shipper or cherry picker companies without holding facilities should be allowed to purchase MAC certified fish and sell them as such. That caveat is addressed by the standards in my opinion.

I agree 100% with what Mary has posted
MAC should insure that this does not happen.

PS you posted but didn't vote Mary.

What Mary said.

On a side note, * I saw a MAC certified sticker in a non-MAC certified LFS that only sells ORA fish (at least that was what they told me). Man, you just can't trust anyone any more. 8O

They ONLY sell ORA fish?

Then they must only carry clowns, dottybacks, cardinals and seahorses.

Can't get too far on those - and often they are out of stock on particular species...

Guys,
Its still all theoretical since the certified few fish that were coming in to the US [ 5 boxes a week] are now mainly going to mainland China.
REPEAT...the fish aren't going thru certified dealers or even the USA!The divers who got certified cannot even be kept down and controlled any longer!
They have to eat and survive and the MAC way wasn't doing it for them.
After years of waiting....this is the result!?
YA'LL GOT PLAYED!
Hey. I'm just the messenger, again.
Steve
