So I decided to clean up my sump out and my skimmer but can't seem to get this build up off my skimmer. Any ideas on what to use? I'm all ears

Usually vinegear/water should work, if it doesn't, try using pure vinegear without adding water. If you need it even stronger, you can dilute Muriatic Acid with water, but that gets to be strong stuff which can burn you if spilled
This is just a acid/base reaction, calcium deposits being the base which gets dissolved from acid. How strong the acid is will speed up the reaction

I used pure vinegar without adding water to it and it worked like a charm.
