Whereabouts are you? When I lived in Japan, the local products were really expensive, so much so that it actually made more sense for me to order them from the US (from Marine Depot, which always was helpful and efficient). If you're somewhere in Europe, the UK has lots of online vendors, as does Germany.

Got ya. I hope the big tank will be done soon. I hate when those guys tell you in a wekk, and they keep on postponing and postponing... I just want it running so i can install everything and enjoy it Anyway I will make sure to install at least 4 powerful powerheads in the main tank, at least.
Tell me about it, when I ordered my tank I was told 6-8 weeks and it took 21 weeks  Someone else around me ordered one and it took just as long, then when he got it he put a big chip in one of the panels and has to look for a new tank.

Remember also you want a broad wide flow, moving lots of water, not a thin stream like from a normal powerhead. Unless thats all thats around, but even maxijets with the prop mods do a nice job.

I will try and see something good and efficient at the same time. I do not live in Europe, I live in Lebanon/ Middle East. And as I mentioned before, reef keeping is not really popular here :(

Could you not order from Germany, even in Lebanon? Because Tunze is a German company and produce the best kit...

It is hard to find a good company that ships hardware to Lebanon/ Beirut. In addition to that, I honestly prefer not to order online and get stuck in the process of tracking, checking, and hoping to get a good quality product and not damaged. I tried this with books. When I ordered Reef Keeping books, eventhough I ordered new books, some of the books arrived here scratched and not well packed. I didn't want to get stuck in the process of returning them back, wait and all this ****. So I kept them. They are books anyway and I still can read them even if they are scratched a bit. But other products wont be of any use if they are damaged I guess?! That's why I am waiting. Hopefully a good LFS store will open. Or MAYBE and only MAYBE I will open my own LFS store specialised in marine reef keeping and Marine Fish :D There is a good store now opening that is getting some AquaMedic stuff and Ehim but not yet open. So I have to wait like a month or a bit more untill the store get settled and I can go buy some good quality product.

That really sucks. It must be very frustrating!

Do you ever visit Europe? That might be the only way to ensure that you end up with a pristine bit of kit.

Here is a thread somewhere else of someone else in Lebanon setting up a tank (I assume it's not you!). You'll see on this page that they mention there being two LFS (local fish stores) in Beirut. If you plow through all of the pages, you might be able to find more details. Either that, or you could send a personal message (PM) to maroun c, the original poster.

Maroun C. is a member on this Site? from lebanon as well? That should nice. I will certainely contact him for sure!! Thank you for the help.
I couldn't find any Maroun c here. And the link over Lebanon is blocked here. I can't access it from work. They have this ContentKeeper thingy. Lucky me!! :(

I know this is frustrating. i have searched almost everywhere here. And I could find, as I mentioned before, one good shop currently opening and 2 other medium level shops. the 2 medium level shops doesn't have a variaty of products. As for the new one opening, I hope he does, and most importent for an affordable price!!

Visit Europe?!! Oh I wish. I have work here. In addition to 8Hours per day in the office, I am still doing my MBA courses at uni. So it might be hard to leave here in the current time!! :S
