i have a friend with a tank crisis his rock is covered wit algae looks like a shag rug on there lol how can that rock b cured ive been told to cook it but i was jus wondering if there was another way

depending on tank size, and amount of rock...I'd remove them and hand scrub each one, to remove as much algae as possible, then add CUC, to finish the job!

+1 I had a small hair algae outbreak on one of my rocks so I removed the rock and scrubed it with a wire brush then rinsed it in a bucket of saltwater I had from my water change. Its now two months later and it hasn't returned.

sure... it would, however what would you do with it once all the algae is gone?
They aren't in any way shape or form small and they will forage till they starve to death.
