I just added 50lbs. of precycled rock to established 125, too much?

I just added a lot of rock from this distributor:

There was some 150 lbs in there, is this too much at once? will this cause a cycle? There was absolutely no die off on them and zero smell

Not sure if what he is stating is a sales pitch.
If it's true then you are OK.....but if not, there will be some cycle.

so should be good than? Im pretty certain theres no dye off, just that theres so much more surface area that will colonize with bacteria that im wondering much like non-living sand will cause a cycle

it doesnt hurt to be cautious. monitor the par after a week. if it stays good, i would say its safe.

I don't believe it, I would anticipate a cycle. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Yea but it says the rock is precycled which is what totally throws everybody off.

If the 150 lbs of rock in the tank was well colonized with bacteria, you should be able to deal with a spike from the Marco rock. Truth of the matter is ,you already put the rock in, so there isn't too much you can do either way. Let us know how it turns out
