If you look at the picture. In the center, the black area that looks like just a mark or a shadow between the one piece of rock... that whole circle is the worm or whatever...

It looks like a Black Keyhole Limpet. You should see a white shell in the middle, where the black flesh covers over. They're reef safe and only come out when the lights are off. They're actually very cool to have in your tank.

Hmm... I looked that up and i did see a few pics that the black fleshy area does look the same. I did not see a shell but did see a small white spot on it's back. I may not have looked hard enough though and maybe could have realized it was a shell. If i ever see it again I'll look harder next time and see. Is he a cleaner or anything? Seemed cool looking, but if only comes out at night may be rough. Ill look longer when i get home from college today. Thanks

Generally you can't see the white shell, as the black usually covers it. You need for it to close somewhat to see it. If it just comes out at night it's most likely is a Black Keyhole Limpet. They general graze on algae on the rocks and glass and don't knock anything over, even though they do get to be a pretty good size.

yessir, we had them in our last tank. started with one and eventually had toooonsss. they used to shoot out eggs simultaneously which was actually kind of gross but the corals seemed to like it.
