Hi Everyone,

I am just after some information, I would like to know if there is a (or a few?) marine livestock importers/wholesalers/retailers Association in the U.S (for the U.S)?

I would like some market info for a submission I am researching for, in an attempt to fight Australian beaureacracy :roll:

If there is such an organisation please post here or email me. Thanks for your help.

Hi Michelle,
Welcome to reefs.org. The closest thing we have to an organization for importers/wholesalers/retailers would be the American Marine Dealers Association (AMDA) you can go to www.amdareef.com for more information. Good luck fighting bureaucracy. Our industry seemes to be divided with people who think bureaucracy will lead to reform on one side, and those think it will just screw everything up on the other.

If it's legislation you're fighting, you might want to contact the US branch of PIJAC- the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council. They are specifically marine oriented, they cover the entire pet industry, but they are our legislative watchdogs. I don't have a link for them- try doing a search.
