I finally upgraded from our 5 gallon fluval spec and now rockin? a 30 gallon Nuvo

I?m looking forward to stocking the tank but taking my time.

Added AI prime and tidied up all the wires so they are all hidden

Tank coming along nicely. Picked up a few SPS and will continue to keep an eye on my parameters.

So far tank has been stable with the following.

Calcium - 465
Alkalinity - 8.5
Magnesium - 1375

My nitrates are testing 0 with api kit so need to pick up a better kit. I also need a phosphate kit

Calcium and alkalinity a bit high but everything seems fine. Still need to check nitrate and phosphate.

Calcium - 490
Magnesium - 1450
Alkalinity - 7.5

Tank is doing great so far. One of my birds nest started to get white at the base. All parameters are fine. I did notice my MP10 had lost all its settings so it was running at lowest speed and I think it was in lagoon mode. Not sure if the reduced flow caused it.

I may end up cutting it up so that I don?t lose the whole piece. Monitoring it for now.

Tank finally bouncing back after my nutrient spike.

Over 100 nitrate eliminated most of my sps. The others are slowly bouncing back.

Thanks bud. I love this tank. I actually got rid of the two ?clay? pieces I had in the tank and substituted them with live rock. Not sure if they were leaching anything into the tank.

So far tank is doing much better and parameters are stabilized.

Waiting another month or two before I try sps again.
