i just found some of those red buggers in my tank, looking for 2 tabs of interceptor

just as a fyi you need to do the treatment 3 times to ensure all the red bugs are dead. 1 week intervals i think.. good luck finding them and if you no anyone with a dog they prob. have it in there medicine cabinet

i read that 1 tab will treat 400g, my system is roughly 150g, figuring 150g tank less rock and sand plus sump, skimmer, reactors. so 2 tabs should be more than enough to cover the 3 treatments.

i used a full tab in my 120 gallon with 50 gallon sump. i would not split up the pill but what do i no :scratch:

how did that work out for you? i read it will kill crabs and shrimp but what about snails?

it will kill almost all snails depending on how strong they are, shrimp without a doubt, crabs as well... take them all out before you nuke the tank... i was red bug free after the 3rd treatment for sure 3 weeks

when you had the bugs, were there any health issues for the sps? i ask because if i didn't accidently break a piece of acro, i would have never have known i had them. growth is good, colors are good.....did you notice an improvement in overall health of the corals after the treatment?

yes you should see an improved health of the coral... nothing there to irritate it....

ok first off you need to pull all snails and hermits out of tank. { did this when i had my 24g ap } turn carbon and phos off, actually i took media out and let them run to get treatment in it also. dose and leave for 8 hr's. i didnt do it a week apart though, i skipped a day then treated again, doing same thing, fter dosing run carbon after the water change, repeat this process 3 time's doing larger wc after each treatment. this isnt something that after dosing corals are immediately going to be brighter or have great polyp extension, but it does kill off the red bugs, and after a small period you will notice enfected corals starting to open up

i left all my snails crabs shrimp in the tank when i treated my tank.

all the snails survived, all the shrimps died, i still have a few hermit crabs that survived.

FYI, the snails should be fine. The drug only kills arthropods.
