Is a 10G sump too small for a 40G FO tank?

What do you think.

Thinking of only putting only couple small rocks in the main tank and thus every filtration work has to be done in the sump.

Would a 10G too small. I got no other suitable tanks left unless some wants to trade a 20G long for my 20G regular.

It depends what you plan on placing in the sump. If everything fits, and it can hold the overflow from the 40g when the power's out, it's not too small.

btw I am putting the 10G over my main tank so it will be for the main to have enough space for the overflow from the 10G incase of power out.:flower:
