I was thinking of a A. melanopus x A. ocillaris(sp?). Would this be possible? I know Ive seen pics of hybridized angels before.

Wilkerson certainly seems to suggest in her book that some hybridations might be possible (get her book if you don't have it already for more detail).

But I don't know if you can cross-breed from one "group" or "alliance" to another. I wouldn't be getting my hopes too high about A. melanopus X A. ocellaris.

There is at least one (well it has to be two, right?) species of clown known to hybridize in the wild (I saw them diving in the Solomons). I also believe that it is no problem to cross breed A. ocellaris and A. percula in a tank, but their ranges do not overlap in nature. You might ask one of the big hatcheries like ORA if they've tried it.
