Is it possible to overdose 2 part?

Just more of a theoretical question... Wouldn't an overdose as long as the two are added in equal proportion result in precipitation. Would it affect carbonate or calcium more resulting in possible ph problems?

You most certainly can overdose 2 part.

Test your water then add only what is needed. It will affect everything you stated above.

If the levels are uneven you will have problems with Cyano hair algae and corals will react poorly. Also if you are dosing 2 part you need to monitor and dose Mg.

So long as they're added slowly in stoichiometric proportions, and assuming that your Ca and Alk are already balanced, yeah.

If you wanna be lazy about testing your Ca/Alk, use an intelligently-setup ATO running kalk. If you use two-part, it's easy to get the balance out of whack, but since (at normal pH levels) kalk is a balanced additive, it's pretty self-correcting.

Do a search on reefkeeping magazine. There is a great article out there highlighting the interdependence of Ca, Alk and MG.

You can easily overdose one part, let alone all 3.

At a certain point it will start precipitating out, but that will happen well after you reach levels that will kill your reef. It's not as if it will magically start to precipitate out at 450ppm or something like that.
