Is my ballast BAD?

Basicly I have the coralife pro series with the 250 DE MH and the light will kick on stay on for a while then turn off then it will kick on again

just started happening.. maybe its overheating?

its not happening to the other bulbs

i dunno if there are fans but i would assume they work.

I am keeping the ballasts in my garage.

then i bet your garage is hot. i think the ballst has a built-in temo control to shut off when temp gets too high.

but there is three ballasts im gona switch them and see what happens

Check that bulb as well. It might be your problem.

the bulb ? the bulb seems to be in fine working order when its on.. how would it be the bulb please explain

I happen to be getting new bulbs this week so well see about that anyways:splitspin:lol:.

I had the same problem that I fixed by replacing the ballast. The flaky ballast was about 1 year old.

Is it the ballast or society that makes the ballast bad? Hmmmmm

Seriously try a different ballast and see if it happens. If it does try another bulb.

ok so i moved the ballast and changed what bulb the ballast was running and so far so good...

lets hope it stays this way
