Is this any good to grow macro algae/mangroves?

I'm wondering if anyone has ever used one of these. I'm really not expecting anyone to say they did but worth a shot. At the least I would like people's opinion on whether they believe it would suffice for growing macro algae and mangroves. I know someone that uses the one with 10mm LEDs and his mangroves grow very nicely but would these with the smaller LEDs work just as well? I have no personal experience with this light but I have read that red lighting works very well with fresh water plants so I will be tagging along.

well you know, some things can't be disgussed publicly lol but nah, I just built a trough out of 4" PVC for my mangroves and I was looking into a new light for them.

I guess I'll order one on Friday and give them a try unless someone else has an idea that they would be worthless

These lights are actually pretty good for the price and for the power consumption of just 13w per unit. They're also pretty bright considering that it's almost 3red:1blue. I'll take pics tomorrow if anyone is interested
