Is this starfish reef safe and what is it?

They will multiply like crazy, and you will start seeing them all over.

save yourself the trouble of figuring out how to get rid of them once they multiply to excess, keep it out of ur display

They do make excellent cleanup crew members though if you have the well behaved ones. I say keep it in your sump and let it eat the leftover detritus. I don't think they'd be able to make it into your display.

I thought these were cool till 5 years went by and found some wrapped around my zoos were they doing damage I didnt notice any But for 2-3 weeks I picked 30-40 a day every day and i dint seem to put a dent in the population 1 turns into 2 2-4 4-8 8-16 16-32 32-64 64-128 128-256 you get my point then you have to get a harlequin shrimp that will clean them up in a couple of weeks and then you have to buy starfish for the shrimp to stay alive
Do yourself a favor Sal remove them .there is no noticeable benefit
